Actress CATE BLANCHETT's two-year old son DASHIELL has musical tastes beyond his years - THE CLASH and IGGY POP.

The ELIZABETH beauty is pleased she is not forced to watch cartoons all day, but she is bemused by her toddler's obsession with classic rock.

She says, When Dash was beginning to look at the world, JOE STRUMMER died, so we were listening to a lot of The Clash.

"I've tried to explain we can't listen to Iggy Pop at 6.30 in the morning.

"I suspect the situation will get even worse now Dash has worked out how to turn on the stereo."
