CATE BLANCHETT - BLANCHETT AMONG SIX DYLAN STARS

CATE BLANCHETT, HEATH LEDGER, RICHARD GERE and CHRISTIAN BALE will all play BOB DYLAN in a new biopic of the rock legend. The foursome, plus two uncast actors will portraying Dylan throughout various stages of his life in I'M NOT THERE. The $20 million (GBP11 million) budget movie will be directed by TODD HAYNES. Producers announced the project at the Cannes Film Festival on the French Riviera. They explained Blanchett's presence demonstrates the film will be an "evocation of Dylan's various persona, his public image and what he expresses in his songs".
