Canadian actress RACHEL BLANCHARD fears the NC-17 rating slapped on her new movie WHERE THE TRUTH LIES will make the film an afternoon delight for lusty teenagers.

US censors gave the film the restrictive rating after balking at a threesome sex scene, featuring Blanchard, KEVIN BACON and COLIN FIRTH.

But Blanchard fears the rating and the fuss it has made will prompt sex-hungry teens to get hold of pirated copies of the film on DVD - just so they can see a sex scene which amounts to little but "thrusting and head bobbing."

She says, "I understand that they have to create some sort of guide as to what is appropriate for children to see and to an extent that is necessary.

"My argument was kids are going to see this film online and if they are going to see it, I'd rather they see it with their parents where it's in a specific context as opposed to 10 second clips you can download.

"It can become pornographic once it ends up online and that's not what it is or what I signed on for."

Blanchard joined director ATOM EGOYAN for a recent visit to the ratings board - to appeal the censors' decision. The appeal was lost and the film will be released with an NC-17 rating.
