LOVE ACTUALLY - BLACKADDER RETURNS

LOVE ACTUALLY star ROWAN ATKINSON has thrilled fans of classic British TV comedy BLACKADDER, by agreeing to reprise his role as EDMUND BLACKADDER in a new series set in the swinging Sixties.

Previous series of the historical comedy covered the Regency period, Elizabethan London the middle ages the First World War, but the proposed new series will feature Atkinson as an illegitimate royal in the drug-fuelled 1960's.

Co-star TONY ROBINSON is thrilled Atkinson is keen to work on the next installments of the show, which was recently voted Britain's best-loved comedy by BBC viewers.

Robinson says, "Rowan is more keen than he has been in the past and I'd love to do it."
