Icelandic star BJORK is struggling to come to terms with her visit to Banda Aceh in Indonesia last month (JAN06).

The PLAY DEAD singer visited the district devastated by 2004's Indian Ocean tsunami and was shocked to see people's lives are still deeply affected, both emotionally and physically, by the natural disaster.

The 40-year-old, who works in conjunction with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), says, "I'm still trying to find words for what I saw. I think it'll take another month. It hasn't quite sunk in yet."

During her two-day stay in Indonesia, Bjork visited schools and temporary villages which still house people waiting for new homes to be built.

Bjork released the tsunami benefit album ARMY OF ME last year (05), and more than $450,000 (GBP250,000) has been raised so far from sales of the remix compilation.
