Eccentric movie star BILLY BOB THORNTON has developed a new quirk - he hates live theatre.

The MONSTER'S BALL star, who has previously confessed to phobias about antique furniture and former British Prime Minister BENJAMIN DISRAELI, has discovered a new fear of theatre.

He explains, "As long as I'm on stage I'm cool, but if I'm in the audience it's a little troubling.

"I have this desire to run on the stage and knock the props over. Sometimes I have to go out in the lobby and have a SNICKERS bar."

But it's not at all - Thornton is finally coming to terms with his odd fear of Disraeli photographs.

He adds, "I can look at pictures of him but I can't eat around him."
