Jim Hahn - Benicio + Baldwin Invited To Join Environmental Panel

Los Angeles Mayor JIM HAHN has invited BENICIO DEL TORO and ALEC BALDWIN to join a new steering group to boost environmental issues in Hollywood after the actors wrote to him to express concerns about alternative energy.

Hahn wants the two stars to give his new Green Ribbon Commission a much-needed publicity push as he considers creating centres for renewable energy in Los Angeles.

Baldwin and Del Toro were among the Hollywood bigwigs who petitioned Hahn to consider beefing up the city's commitment to renewable power resources in a letter earlier this week (begs19APR04).
