KATE BECKINSALE - BECKINSALE STUNNED BY DAUGHTER'S WISDOM

British actress KATE BECKINSALE finds her five-year-old daughter LILY terribly intimidating - because the youngster is better at mathematics than any of the adults in her life.

Lily, whose father is Welsh actor MICHAEL SHEEN, has been astounding her mother with her wisdom, and now the PEARL HARBOR beauty admits she can't even help her child with her homework.

Beckinsale, married to director LEN WISEMAN, says, "What I'm finding really difficult is she's really smart and she's got all this math homework.

"Her biological father, her stepfather and me are all idiots in the math department, so we just can't help.

"She's so smart. She's definitely kind of got me licked right now."
