KATE BECKINSALE - BECKINSALE 'DAUNTED' BY SCORSESE

Hollywood beauty KATE BECKINSALE was terrified at the prospect of working with director MARTIN SCORSESE on upcoming movie THE AVIATOR, because she knew she'd have to deliver a career best performance.

Beckinsale was delighted to be offered a part by the legendary film-maker, but was reduced to a panic-stricken mess in the knowledge she could be responsible for ruining a Scorsese film.

She says, "It was quite daunting working with Scorsese.

"If you're bad in a bad movie the blame is shared but if you're bad in a Scorsese movie, then it probably just means that you're bad."
