Pop star VICTORIA BECKHAM refuses to sit back and live off husband DAVID's multi-million pound pay packet - because she's a woman with ambition.

The former SPICE GIRL - who has reinvented her pop sound in a bid to kick-start her solo singing career - is determined to follow her career goals, and has a low opinion of women who depend on their partner's earnings.

She says, "I could be a housewife and live off David but I don't see what's wrong with a woman who has ambition.

"I think it's commendable."
