BECK - BECK PLANS ELLIOTT SMITH TRIBUTE

American rocker BECK will headline a tribute to tragic singer/songwriter ELLIOTT SMITH in Los Angeles next week (begs03NOV03).

The LOSER hitmaker is performing alongside other acts including GRANDADDY at the event, which is being held to pay homage to cult star Smith - who died of a self-inflicted knife wound on 21 October (03).

Another tribute - featuring acts including BETH ORTON, RADAR BROS and BRIGHT EYES - will be staged on Monday night (03NOV03) at the HENRY FONDA THEATRE in Los Angeles.

All proceeds from the event will go to the ELLIOTT SMITH FOUNDATION FOR ABUSED CHILDREN.
