BEAUTIFUL SOUTH - BEAUTIFUL SOUTH STAR BACK ON THE BOOZE

THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH frontman PAUL HEATON has started drinking again despite having beaten alcoholism - but he insists he is finally in control. The 44-year-old PERFECT TEN singer admitted his life was nearly ruined by booze six years ago (2000). But he is thrilled he has now reached a point where he can keep beer in his fridge, and not drink it all immediately. He says, "About three years ago I started having the occasional drink again, but I don't really drink much and I'm quite in control of it. "Today if we go out as a band I'll have a couple of shandies and occasionally at home I'll have a pint of bitter. "It's usually in my fridge for quite a long time before I touch it."
