DREW BARRYMORE has no regrets over her two failed marriages - as they taught her to "trust her instincts".

The CHARLIE'S ANGELS star, 29, learnt a lot from her nuptials with bar owner JEREMY THOMAS and comedian TOM GREEN - giving her a different perspective on tying the knot.

Barrymore says, "I wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't had those experiences.

"My first marriage was a big joke. It taught me to trust my instincts. I had to do something - like get married - to learn that."

Barrymore married Thomas at the tender age of 19 - divorcing him a month later, while her second marriage to Green lasted only five months.

She adds, "It made me look at marriage differently and I feel the institution hasn't evolved as life has. I'm forever learning."

As for walking down the aisle soon with boyfriend FABRIZIO MORETTI of THE STROKES, Barrymore adds, "I'm not sure yet.

"I respect that we have a tremendous amount of freedom to do what we want.

"I have no aversion to any situation that's healthy and beautiful."
