CARL BARAT fears his new band DIRTY PRETTY THINGS may be "doomed" as he found it impossible to see when his former band THE LIBERTINES were going to implode until it was too late. The British BANG BANG YOU'RE DEAD star is confident Dirty Pretty Things will be nowhere near as troublesome as his previous outfit with controversial rocker PETE DOHERTY. But Barat refuses to get comfortable just in case. He says, "There's nothing obviously to mythologise about this band. "In terms of how others perceive us, I can't think of anything that would provide us with journalistic scoops, but I suppose in the Libertines I couldn't think of anything until after the event. "That's what I learned in The Libertines: you never know when someone's going to light the touch tape on the suicide bomb until its ignited. "We could be doomed already."
