BAND AID 20's charity hit DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS? has fought off competition from KYLIE MINOGUE and ROBBIE WILLIAMS to rule the British singles chart for a second week running.
The cover of the 1984 classic track, featuring CHRIS MARTIN, BONO, THE DARKNESS and TRAVIS, was named the UK's number one single on Sunday (12DEC04), with Minogue's new track I BELIEVE IN YOU close behind at two.
Proceeds from sales of Band Aid 20 goes to help the victims of the civil unrest in the Darfur region of Sudan.
Surprisingly pop heart-throb Williams' latest song MISUNDERSTOOD only managed to enter at ten.
Irish supergroup U2 continued their reign of the album charts for the third week with HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB.
