Film legend LAUREN BACALL has sparked controversy by insisting HUGH GRANT doesn't have to be a good actor - because he's charming and good looking.
The 80-year-old recently slammed Hollywood for choosing actresses with looks but no talent, but has been accused of double standards for implying male stars like Grant are so attractive, they don't need acting skills.
Bacall is also obsessed with movie hunk JUDE LAW, but believes he needs more experience before he can equal her favourite actor, SYLVIA star MICHAEL GAMBON.
She says, "I'm crazy about Hugh Grant, he's charming and marvellous-looking. Not a great actor but he doesn't have to be.
"Jude Law is good and has years to prove himself. Michael Gambon is my favourite - outrageous and brilliant."
