B52'S STAR OPENS A MOTEL

B52'S star KATE PIERSON has revamped her very own motel in upstate New York.

The LOVE SHACK singer bought the roadside motel and its surrounding nine acres of property when it was rundown, and has worked tirelessly to add her own kitsch touch to the newly opened LAZY MEADOW MOTEL in Mount Tremper.

The eclectic inn now boasts flat-screen TVs, high-speed internet and garage-sale paintings among its features, with retro-style kitchen suites running from $225 to $275 per night.

Pierson says, "I want guests to feel the have a fabulous rustic apartment."
