PETER WEIR - AUSTRALIAN ACTRESS IRVING DIES

Australian actress MARJORIE IRVING has died of heart failure. She was 98.

Irving passed away on Monday morning (04JUL05), only a few days after her birthday.

The British-born star had a successful career spanning 90 years on radio, TV, the stage and the silver screen.

Radio host PETER GOERS, who worked with Irving until recently, says, "She basically never stopped working on stage and screen.

"She's in the movie GALLIPOLI, the PETER WEIR film, lots of theatre for lots of different companies, lots of radio."
