ARMAND ASSANTE - ASSANTE THREATENED BY MOBSTER OVER GOTTI FILM

US federal agents have uncovered a serious threat to actor ARMAND ASSANTE's life as they investigate the dealings of mobster GREG DePALMA. The ruthless GAMBINO family mob boss was taped telling the actor he would personally kill and torture him if there was anything "off-colour" in the 1996 TV movie about Mafia superboss JOHN GOTTI, which Assante was set to star in at the time. According to US tabloid the Globe, which has unearthed the tape, DePalma tells Assante during a tense meeting, "If there's one off-colour thing that's a lie - even if it's the truth about John with broads (women), I'm personally gonna kill you."
