ASHLEE SIMPSON chose to release a controversial single inspired by her sexual fantasies in an attempt to ditch her good girl image.

The 20-year-old pop star is desperate to disassociate her music from the pop stylings of her sister JESSICA, and deems new single LA LA's saucy lyrics - which reveal her favourite sex games - the perfect way to quash her unwanted reputation.

She says, "It's something every girl thinks about. I sat down before I wrote it and thought, I'm a girl, I'm feminine and I can be sexy so here goes."

The tune includes the lyrics, "You can dress me up in diamonds, you can dress me up in dirt/ You can throw me like a linesman, I like it better when it hurts."
