Controversial SO SOLID CREW star ASHER D is leaving his ailing music career behind to return to his first love - acting.
The garage star - who was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2002 for carrying a loaded gun - has landed a part in new stage drama SING YOUR HEART OUT FOR THE LADS, and has just started rehearsals for the April (04) opening.
He says, "We started rehearsing on Monday. I got the main part. It's set around a pub in South West London during the World Cup qualifying match against Germany, which was on a few years ago. It's about racism between black and white people.
"I love acting. I was doing it before So Solid and my solo career."
