ASHANTI - ASHANTI TELLS OF HER HORROR AT FATAL COUSIN CRASH

LATEST: R+B singer ASHANTI has spoken of her heartbreak following the death of her cousin in a car accident in South Africa over the weekend (15APR06). QUINSHAE SNEAD was on her way to Ashanti's hotel to pick up something for the Grammy Award-winning star before her Saturday concert when the accident occurred. Ashanti tells the New York Daily News, "I cannot believe this happened to my cousin, and it is hard for me to grasp the reality that she is gone from me and my family and her friends." According to police, 20-year-old Snead was a passenger in a car that was rear-ended. She was flung from the car as it rolled over and thrown into the path of another car in the opposite lane. A 17-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged with drink-driving. Cops plan to also charge him with homicide. The driver of the car Snead was travelling in was also injured and taken to hospital.
