ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER - ARNIE'S THE RIGHT CHOICE, SAYS WIFE

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER's ever-loyal wife MARIA SHRIVER is convinced her husband will win the upcoming Gubernatorial election in Los Angeles - because people know him too well to be swayed by bad press.

The TERMINATOR star has been blasted by opponents over his past drug use, womanising claims and orgy allegations, as well as his political inexperience, but that doesn't seem to have affected his popularity among voters.

Arnie is currently ahead in popularity polls, and Shriver insists people know he's the right choice to become the next California Governor.

In an exclusive interview with American news show EXTRA, she says, "People have known Arnold for a long time. They see him in his speeches, they watch him on the news and they watch him everywhere.

"I think they make up their mind that way - not on whether someone says something negative or not."

Shriver also believes her husband is winning the hearts and minds of voters because he has passion.

She adds, "They see someone who has leadership capabilities, who is smart, who is driven, and who's excited about it. Not many people are excited these days about getting into politics and doing that kind of job. He is."
