ARCTIC MONKEYS' new bassist NICK O'MALLEY has broken his hand only days after he was chosen to play with the British rock newcomers. O'Malley, 20, joined the group after original bass player ANDY NICHOLSON announced he was taking time out due to "exhaustion". O'Malley's former DODGEMS bandmate PHIL GOODWIN says, "As we walking home form the pub, our roadie grabbed him (O'Malley) and pulled him over our neighbour's wall. "It's quite high and he landed on his right hand. It is his plectrum, hand and he has a pot on it - but he says he can still hold a plectrum."
