PATRIOT GAMES actress ANNE ARCHER has leaped to the defence of TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES' plans for a silent birth later this month (APR06). Archer, a Scientologist for 30 years, maintains the controversial religion is misunderstood as a silent labour is designed to be a peaceful experience. She says, "We just want to keep the environment as calm, quiet and loving as possible. "Any culture in the world would understand that and any woman who's given birth would understand that."
