ANTHRAX rocker SCOTT IAN has described the moment DAMAGEPLAN drummer VINCE PAUL returned to live performance for the first time since the murder of his brother as his "most emotional" onstage experience.

Anthrax, DISTURBED, DROWNING POOL and SOIL teamed up to play a tribute show to ex-PANTERA and Damageplan guitarist 'DIMEBAG' DARRELL ABBOTT at Chicago's Aragorn Ballroom on 23 February (05).

Abbott was killed when a deranged gunman stormed onstage during a Damageplan performance in Columbus, Ohio, last December (04).

And veteran guitarist Ian was amazed at the surge of emotion he felt when Paul took the stage.

He says, "Everyone there was touched in some way by Dime and the outpouring of love was electric.

"The moment when Vince got up behind the drums was the most emotional I have ever felt onstage."
