HAWAII FIVE-O - ANOTHER HAWAII FIVE-O STAR DIES

Original HAWAII FIVE-O star GILBERT LANI KAUHI (corr) has died in Honolulu, Oahu, of complications from diabetes.

The Hawaiian actor, 66, who played ZULU on the hit show, was fired after the fourth series due to an altercation with producers, but the programme helped turn him into a popular entertainer in his native Hawaii.

Last week (ends30APR04), another Hawaii Five-O castmate, JOHNNY MANN lost his battle with cancer. He was 73.
