JENNIFER ANISTON's representatives are vehemently denying filming on the final series of FRIENDS is being rushed to appease the actress, following allegations she ordered production chiefs to "accelerate" the process.

According to New York website PAGESIX, Aniston was reluctant to reprise her role as RACHEL GREEN on the hit show, but finally agreed to star in the tenth series on the condition shooting would be completed by January (04).

But the screen beauty's spokesman STEPHEN HUVANE insists Aniston is not to blame for the rushed schedule, because all cast members have equal influence on major filming decisions.

He says, "Everything they do is by a majority. It was to everybody's advantage to be done filming by January."

Huvane's statement follows reports Aniston refused to commit to the final series, because of mounting pressure from her husband BRAD PITT - who is keen to start a family according to a source quoted on Page Six.

The insider tells the website, "Jennifer told her husband Brad she would focus on starting a family last year (02). Brad was really angry when she went back for another year. It's not like they - or anyone else on Friends - needs the money.

"Jennifer compromised. The rest of the cast wanted one more year and she felt a lot of pressure. But she also wants to keep Brad happy. So Jennifer said she would do one more year, but insisted on only 18 shows and that filming would be done by January."
