JENNIFER ANISTON - ANISTON: FRIENDS IS HEALING

JENNIFER ANISTON is so moved by people who credit her TV show FRIENDS with helping them in times of trouble, it makes her proud the comedy's had such a positive impact on society.

The sexy actress is regularly approached by fans who praise the show for its healing power, and Aniston admits shooting an episode in the immediate aftermath of the 11 September (01) terrorist atrocities proved a welcome distraction for the audience.

She says, "Some of the most moving moments in her life have been having people come up to me and tell me what Friends has meant to them.

"I've met people who had a terminal illness and said they watched Friends every day and it was one of the things that helped them deal with their illness.

"And I remember after 9/11, we had to tape an episode and we all said, 'How can we do this? It feels so trite.' But people just laughed and laughed and we realised laughter is healing."
