Former FRIENDS star JENNIFER ANISTON's famous mid-nineties hairstyle has been named the most influential cut of all time.

The actress - who played RACHEL GREEN in the now defunct TV comedy - beat off competition from screen legends MARILYN MONROE and FARRAH FAWCETT for her popular hairdo, dubbed "the Rachel cut".

CHARLIE'S ANGELS beauty Fawcett came second with her much-imitated curly locks, followed by late British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, whose short crop reportedly cost $7,200 (GBP4,000) a year.
