JENNIFER ANISTON is so keen to give husband BRAD PITT the baby he longs for, the couple have already started testing to see if their new Hollywood home is childproof.

The pretty FRIENDS star, who insists hunky Brad will be a great father, has invited pals to bring their tots into her home - because she feels the modern design and sharp edges aren't very baby-friendly.

The actress tells women's magazine ALLURE that there have been a few bangs and scrapes - but she's still convinced her stylish home, which was originally built in the 1930s for late silver screen legend FREDERIC (corr) MARCH, will be a good place for a baby.

She says, "It's all marble and stone and hard edges and metal and nickel. It's not very kid-friendly.

"We've had babies of friends over to test it, and the tough ones survive banging their heads on the stone floors. It's a sexy house."

Aniston admits she and her husband, who turned 40 just before Christmas (03), are getting serious about starting a family - they've even built a nursery.

She adds, "We call it The Room."
