BOND - ANDRESS HAILS BERRY'S BOND GIRL SKILLS

Former BOND girl URSULA ANDRESS has hailed HALLE BERRY as a worthy successor to her role as superspy JAMES BOND's love interest.

The veteran actress was impressed Berry paid homage to her famous white bikini scene - in 1962's DR NO - by emerging from the sea in similar swimwear in 2002's 007 sequel DIE ANOTHER DAY.

Andress says, "It's not the same these days. All the Bond girls look after themselves so well. In my day there were curves and flesh. Now all the women are straight, like a poker.

"But I did think Halle Berry was lovely in Die Another Day, very curvy."
