GILLIAN ANDERSON - ANDERSON KEEN FOR X FILES RETURN

Former X FILES star GILLIAN ANDERSON is desperate to reunite with former co-star DAVID DUCHOVNY and resurrect the sci-fi hit.

The pair last appeared together as FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY in 1998 movie X FILES: FIGHT THE FUTURE.

A follow up has been on the drawing board since, and Anderson, Duchovny and creator CHRIS CARTER are battling to bring the FBI's supernatural team back to the big screen.

Anderson tells Moviehole.net, "David (Duchovny) and I and (creator) Chris Carter are determined to do it.

"(Because of a rights issue) it's become a bit messy. I think the intention is that we will and we hope to - and that, hopefully, by the time we actually do, whenever that is, people will still give a damn."
