Original AMERICAN IDOL winner KELLY CLARKSON has recruited an unlikely voice coach to help her hit the high notes - ANNIE LENNOX.
The singer, who won the TV talent show last year (02), went backstage at a Lennox show to ask for advice.
She says, "I actually learned a lot from Annie Lennox. I was like, 'How do you keep your voice like that?' and she was like, 'You have to warm up and stuff.'
"Now I take it more seriously and I do have warm up stuff like bubbles and scales.
"My biggest fear, the worst thing for a singer, is when you over sing and you're like, 'Well, I'm gonna be like JANIS JOPLIN for the rest of the tour' - your voice is really scratchy. I get upset because I'm quite a perfectionist."
