Alley's Fat Actress Sued For Song Infringement
The producers of KIRSTIE ALLEY's hit new TV show FAT ACTRESS have been hit with a hefty lawsuit filed by the bluesman who penned her theme tune.
Producers used ANDREW JONES' BIG LEGS, HEAVY BOTTOM blues standard in promotional ads for the show and then in the first two shows, and the singer/songwriter insists they failed to ask his permission.
Under US copyright law, Jones claims he's owed up to $150,000 (GBP78,900) per act of infringement, and he insists the total could top $2 million (GBP1.05 million).
