TIM ALLEN and JAMIE LEE CURTIS could never skip Christmas like their characters in new movie CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS plan to - because 25 December without their families is a miserable thought.
The actors play man and wife in the festive film, and their characters try to boycott Christmas when their daughter announces she won't be home for Christmas.
But, in real life, Curtis and Allen could never even think about ignoring Christmas Day.
Allen explains, "I've had to work sometimes and inadvertently been away at Christmas and it was a horrible thing for me."
Curtis adds, "Christmas is about children and the family. You can have all the money in the world, all the stuff, the greatest tree with the most handmade ornaments... but ultimately, if you don't have your family around you, I think it's empty."
