ALICE IN CHAINS - ALICE IN CHAINS LAUNCH WORLD TOUR WITH GUEST-PACKED GIG

Reunited rockers ALICE IN CHAINS kicked off their first tour in 10 years with a free gig in Seattle, Washington, last night (16MAY06), featuring surprise guests including SOUNDGARDEN guitarist KIM THAYIL. The THEM BONES band thrilled their hometown fans at the Moore Theater concert, with local legends Thayil, HEART singer ANN WILSON and QUEENSRYCHE guitarist CHRIS DeGARMO. VELVET REVOLVER bassist DUFF MCKAGAN has joined his Alice In Chains pals JERRY CANTRELL, MIKE INEZ and SEAN KINNEY for the group's world tour - as a second guitarist. New frontman WILLIAM DuVALL replaces LAYNE STALEY, who lost his life after overdosing in 2002.
