ALBERT BROOKS - ALBERT BROOKS' GALLBLADDER BONDING

American comedian ALBERT BROOKS got up close and personal with his future father-in-law before his wedding - on the operating table.

Brooks, who stars alongside MICHAEL DOUGLAS in THE IN-LAWS, wed DR LEONARD SHLAIN's daughter KIMBERLY in 1997 - after bonding with her dad under the knife.

He says, "Three weeks before the wedding, he took out my gallbladder. I joked, 'Open me up and take what you want. It's a gesture.'

"Later, he called Kimberly and said, 'I've seen everything. You can marry the guy.'"
