JESSICA ALBA - ALBA WAS READY FOR MOVIES

JESSICA ALBA was happy when her sci-fi show DARK ANGEL was cancelled, because she felt ready to move on from TV to movies.

The Latina beauty was itching to make it as a movie actress, so the decision to the series came at the perfect time.

She says, "I worked my a*s off. I was ready to have a film career."

But she remains in awe of Dark Angel creator, JAMES CAMERON, adding, "We're still in touch. I'll be his assistant director on anything he wants. Oh my God, he's awesome - he's like my Hollywood dad."
