CHRISTINA AGUILERA is proud of her performance at this year's (03) VH1 AWARDS ceremony - because she managed to tame rap wildman EMINEM into "a puppy".

The LADY MARMALADE singer confronted the hip-hop star at the American music bash to take issue with his derogatory lyrics about her - and Eminem quickly dropped his macho attitude.

She explains, "He thought I'd just roll over, smile and forgot about all that s*** he spouted on his songs about me. Men are so like that - it's okay to talk about doing b***hes if you're a man, but show a little sexuality if you're a girl and you're labelled a slut.

"I took Eminem to one side and confronted him and told him he was wrong. He was like a puppy. We hugged and made up."
