CHRISTINA AGUILERA is keen to get into acting, as long as the roles offered to her are "meaty" and challenging enough.
The BEAUTIFUL singer, who appears as a jellyfish in animated movie SHARK TALE, has already rejected a part in the forthcoming VALLEY OF THE DOLLS remake which has gone to JANET JACKSON - because she wants an acting career of longevity which doesn't focus on her singing.
Aguilera says, "What's the point of going into acting, if all you're going to do is play yourself? That is boring.
"I turned down Valley Of The Dolls because it was just another singing role.
"I'm really looking for a film with meat. That's what I'm concentrating on. I'm waiting for the right script, I've been turning down lots.
"I really want to have an acting career but I'm in this for the marathon, not the sprint. I want to make my first step into the movie world and I want it to be right.
"It's got to be meaty, juicy and I definitely don't want to play myself."
