BEN AFFLECK - AFFLECK'S WOOS KERRY'S DAUGHTERS

Hollywood star BEN AFFLECK's friendship with JOHN KERRY's daughters VICTORIA and ALEXANDRA is reportedly causing "sibling rivalry" as the two sisters vie for the hunk's attention.

The PAYCHECK star, who has just split with girlfriend ENZA SAMBATARO, hooked up with the sisters at the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION's opening night in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday (27JUL04) - where both Kerry girls were keen to engage his attention.

A source says, "Ben and Vanessa were in the front of the box in the external seating.

"He had his mom with him but he and Vanessa were yakking it up.

"They were laughing and having a good time. Very cozy. They looked like affectionate pals.

"Within 15 minutes, Alexandra waltzes in, she sees them and lunges across the partition to get in between them.

"She greets Ben with the big hug and kiss.

"This was clearly making Vanessa very uncomfortable, she would walk away and come back.

"It was like two junior high school girls vying for his attention. This was clearly a case of sibling rivalry."

Both Kerry sisters backed off when Affleck's assistant CHAY CARTER arrived on the scene - although Vanessa was hugging the actor again later in the evening.

Affleck interviewed both the presidential candidate's offspring for the new issue of HARPER'S BAZAAR, where he describes the girls as "funny", "smart" and "absurdly beautiful".
