BEN AFFLECK - AFFLECK: THE WEDDING IS STILL ON

Hollywood hunk BEN AFFLECK has confirmed his wedding with JENNIFER LOPEZ will definitely take place.

The GIGLI co-stars were due to wed in California last month (SEP03), but postponed the ceremony, blaming the high level of media attention. But within days of their announcement, reports emerged that the stars had actually split.

And after weeks of speculation, Affleck has spoken exclusively to American magazine IN TOUCH to confirm that the nuptials will take place - although he's keeping the date and location private.

Responding to reports that he and J.LO secretly wed on 22 September (03) when they arrived at Georgia's LIBERTY COUNTY courthouse to get a gun permit, he says, "I don't get it. What's the big deal? We were just in the courthouse getting a gun permit, and they think we got married!

"When we get married, we're not gonna do it in a courthouse."

Affleck, who has been spending time with his fiancee on their secluded 83-acre estate near Savannah, Georgia, adds, "We're just down here on vacation. We've both been working so hard. We just want to get some peace and quiet.

"We're just hanging out together, doing our thing like we've been doing for a long time now."

After calling off their nuptials, Affleck and Lopez have had time to consider what life is like for other celebrity couples, which made them realise they can make a success of their romance.

Affleck notes, "BRAD PITT and JENNIFER ANISTON don't get hounded like this."
