Director ANDREW ADAMSON is determined to keep his screen version of THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA as close to CS LEWIS' original books as possible - as he grew up with the classic tales.
The SHREK film-maker was terrified producers Walden Media, co-producing with Disney, would have a radical new take on the enchanting saga, but luckily they had exactly the same idea.
He says, "The books were very important to me as child. I was worried they'd try to modernise it.
"When I finally agreed to meet them they said they wanted to be really faithful, too."
