Worried residents dialled the emergency services after witnessing 200ft flames from a huge explosion at the now defunct Battersea Power Station. But the explosive scenes were actually part of the new Batman....
Original BATMAN star ADAM WEST still likes to dress up as the caped crusader and patrol the streets - even at the ripe old age of 74.
The ageing actor starred in the TV series of the Gotham City superhero, but still gets a kick out of doning the suit, mask and cape used in the show to stroll the streets of California at night to keep troublemakers at bay.
On his website West admits, "I'll put it on after midnight and walk out into the fog on Santa Monica pier wondering, 'Is there something I can do to solve a crime?'"
