ADAM FAITH - ADAM FAITH ROMANCED TENNIS STAR CHRIS EVERT

Late British pop singer ADAM FAITH had a serious two-year affair with tennis ace CHRIS EVERT, according to his widow.

JACKIE NELHAMS went "ballistic" when she realised her husband's affair with Evert was more serious than other flings she had turned a blind eye to. And she was further incensed when the tennis star called the couple's home one day to enquire about Faith, real name TERRY NELHAMS, when he was ill.

Nelhams says, "Terry would never normally give a woman out home phone number... I thought, 'This is serious.'

"I went ballistic that she had the audacity to phone my house. It's a despicable thing to do to another woman.

"When Terry arrived home, I tore into him. I smashed all our figurines and shouted, 'You rat.'

"A friend of ours was there and he said to Terry, 'Go to the end of the driveway, call Chrissie on you mobile and tell her never, ever to call this house again."

Adam Faith died a year ago (MAR03).
