Mexican TV actress MARIANA LEVY has died of a heart attack after being confronted by a gunman in Mexico City.

The NUESTRA CASA (corr) star, 39, developed laboured breathing after the unnamed man approached her while she was sitting in her car.

Levy's husband drove the actress to a nearby hospital, where she died. The gunman has since been arrested.
