ABC - ABC SERVES UP THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

ABC TV bosses in America are planning to retell the story of biblical hero MOSES as part of a four-hour epic mini-series.

The TV chiefs have teamed up with veteran TV movie producer ROBERT HALMI for THE TEN COMMANDMENTS remake, according to trade magazine HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

Halmi plans to use biblical texts and historical research to make the $20 million (GBP10.5 million) Moses story as authentic as possible.

He says, "I felt that this is the first written document of law, morality and order for the human race, and we completely ignore it.

"I think it's time for the younger generation to revisit this biblical tale as they must realise the importance and consequences of the Ten Commandments."
