LATEST: The American Society Of Composers, Authors And Publishers (ASCAP) honoured 50 CENT, ANNIE LENNOX and GREEN DAY at the 23rd annual Pop Awards in Beverly Hills, California, last night (22MAR06). CANDY SHOP rapper 50 Cent was named Songwriter Of The Year to honour his contributions to five of the last year's (05) biggest hits. Former EURYTHMICS star Lennox scooped the Founders Award for her inspirational contributions to music. GREEN DAY's BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS and MARIAH CAREY's WE BELONG TOGETHER - written by JOHNTA AUSTIN, JERMAINE DUPRI and MANUEL SEAL - were joint winners of the Song Of The Year Award, while the punk trio also won the Creative Voice Award.
