As MADONNA's position on America's album charts plummets, rapper 50 CENT's debut release has shot back to the top.

A week after debuting at number one on the BILLBOARD charts, the MATERIAL GIRL's AMERICAN LIFE slid to eighth position, selling just 91,000 copies in the last sales week, down from the 241,000 it registered during its opening week.

50 Cent topped the last with 128,000 copies, while AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 2: ALL-TIME CLASSIC AMERICAN LOVE SONGS, featuring finalists from the hit show, debuted in second place.

American Idol victor KELLY CLARKSON's debut album THANKFUL currently sits in third place.
